| 6-11 center Steve Smith of Sioux Falls (SD) O'Gorman has seen his recruiting interest level pick up perhaps more than a player in the country since the start of the summer. He helped lead his high school team to the state semifinals. Smith was receiving attention from North Cetnral Conference schools, but his strong play in the Mr. Basketball Showcase, Dakota Showcase, adidas Big Time Tournament and Price Chopper Kansas City Prep Invitational, has caused many Division I schools to take notice. He averaged 16 points and seven rebounds per game as a junior. |
