Biography:
2004: Will take over for the departed Donnell Washington as a starter at defensive tackle...veteran of 34 career games as a reserve; he should be counted on as a team leader in 2004...has played at least 20 plays in 16 consecutive games...has made at least one tackle in 27 consecutive games, which is an accomplishment considering he has not started any of those games...had a solid winter workout with a 460-pound bench press and 500 squat...solidified his first-team status thanks to a good spring practice...had two tackles for loss in the April 3 scrimmage...had two pass deflections in the Spring Game...one of only two scholarship players from Virginia; he will make a return trip to his hometown of Charlottesville when the Tigers play at Virginia on October 7.

2003: Second-team defensive tackle, as he played at least 20 snaps off the bench in every game...had his breakout game in the bowl win over #6 Tennessee; caused a fumble on the Volunteers’ opening possession and had a pass deflection...had three or more tackles in each of the last four regular-season games and in eight of the 13 games...had 34 tackles in 306 snaps; he finished 13th on the team in tackles...ranked second on the team in tackles among non-starters...had seven tackles for loss to rank fifth on the team...had 14 quarterback pressures to rank fourth...backup to Second-Team All-ACC tackle Donnell Washington...started the season strong with four tackles against #9 Georgia, including two tackles for loss...had at least one quarterback pressure in seven of the last eight games...had his only sack against Duke...had three tackles in 20 plays against #3 Florida State.

2002: Played in all 13 games as a reserve defensive tackle, including 20 plays against Texas Tech in the Tangerine Bowl; had two tackles in that contest...played in all 13 contests and averaged over 20 plays per game...had a consistent season in that he made at least one tackle in every game, but never more than four stops...joined Rodney Feaster and Brandon Jamison as only reserves who had a tackle in every game in 2002...had four stops in the win over Ball State in 19 plays, he also had four in the win over Wake Forest...played a season-high 27 snaps against Louisiana Tech...had four tackles at North Carolina and had two quarterback pressures in that game...had his only pass deflection of the season in the win over Georgia Tech...played at least 13 snaps in every game.

2001: Played eight games for 119 snaps as a true freshman...did not play in the first four games, then played in each of the last eight games...started the year as a reserve offensive lineman, then moved to defense in the fourth week...went from not playing in the first four games to playing 29 plays at N.C. State...also played 29 snaps against South Carolina for his season high in participation...had five tackles for the year, including a tackle for loss...played 15 plays against Louisiana Tech in the Humanitarian Bowl...had his only tackle for loss against South Carolina, he also had two tackles in that game...had two tackles at N.C. State.
