| 6-6 combo guard Jerry Nichols of Walters State (TN) CC was a second-team All-American as a freshman last season after averaging 23 points per game and led his team in assists. Nichols was also named the MVP of the NJCAA Regional Tournament and the conference player of the year. Nichols played at Memphis (MN) Westwood High and was the third-leading scorer in the city of Memphis as a senior. He won his team’s defensive player of the year award and also the team MVP. |
