Nine Pull Out of Portsmouth Invitational

The 57th annual Portsmouth Invitational Tournament (P.I.T.) starts Wednesday with the 64 players divided between the eight teams. Ten players elected to pull out of the event, but ten other seniors were named as replacements. MonterDraftNews.com will feature recaps and box scores from the Portsmouth Invitational.

Jeff Adrien of Connecticut, Robert Dozier from Memphis, Levance of Pittsbrugh, Marquette's Dominic James, Curtis Jerrells from Baylor, Jeff Pendergraph of Arizona State, Connecticut's A. J. Price, Kevin Rogers from Baylor and Sam Young from Pittsburgh decided to pull out of the event.

Marcus Cousin of Houston, Jonathan Cox from Drake, Kent State's Al Fisher, Tony Gaffney of Massachusetts, Kenny Hasbrouck from Siena, Florida International's Russell Hicks, Chris Lowe of Massachusetts, Ben McCauley from North Carolina State and Taylor Rochestie of Washington State were named as replacements.

Last year, Sonny Weems of Arkansas, James Mays from Clemson, Marcellus Kemp of Nevada, Duke's DeMarcus Nelson, Russell Robinson from Kansas, Darian Townes of Arkansas, Colorado's Richard Roby, Sasha Kaun from Kansas, Darnell Jackson of Kansas and Alek Maric from Nebraska decided to pull out of the Portsmouth Invitational. Weems, Kaun and Jackson were drafted. Weems has played in twelve games with Denver, Jackson 47 with Cleveland and Kaun is playing in Europe.
