Sales System Wins 92-84 in Consolation Play

Sales System jumped out to a 48-34 halftime lead and held off a rally by Holiday Inn Portsmouth for a 92-84 win in consolation play at the Portsmouth Invitational.

Ramel Bradley of Kentucky leads all scorers zas he scored 18 of his 22 points in the first half. He cooled off from the field in the second half, missing all five shots from the floor, but he was a perfect nine of nine from the line. Othello Hunter of Ohio State continued his strong play with his second double-double as he finished 18 points and ten rebounds. He made six of nine from the field. Justin Hawkins of New Mexico State and Leon Williams from Ohio failed to reach double figures in the opener, but bounced back in their second games. Hawkins had 14 points and seven rebounds and Williams added 13 points and ten boards. Jiri Hubalek of Iowa State had nine points and ten caroms.

Holiday Inn was led by Brian Roberts of Dayton and Gavin Grant from North Carolina State with 15 points each. Will Thomas of George Mason had 13 points and eleven rebounds and Mississippi State's Charles Rhodes had 13 points and seven boards. Anthony King from Miami of Florida had six points and ten boards in the loss.
