The Portsmouth Invitational Tournament (P.I.T.) is the first postseason camp for the top seniors to shine in front of NBA, NBDL, CBA and foreign scouts and officials. The 64 seniors will use the opportunity to impress the NBA and European scouts. However, every year, several players make the decision (some questionable) to pull out at the last minute. There are nine new players as play begins tonight.
The Portsmouth Sports Club has three new additions as Doron Perkins of Santa Clara, Tyrone Salley from West Virginia and Andre Owens of Houston will replace Daniel Ewing of Duke, Larry O'Bannon from Louisville and Rawle Marshall of Oakland.
Norfolk Sports Club will now have OVC Player of the Year Willie Jenkins of Tennesse Tech and Virginia Union's Luqman Jaaber, who will step in for Eddie Basden of Charlotte and Wil Bynum of Georgia Tech.
Guillaume Yango of Pacific and Big Sky Player of the Year Seamus Boxley from Portland State will replace Sharrod Ford of Clemson and Ellis Myles of Louisville for the Naval Shipyard.
Nate Daniels of Mountain State will fill in for Chevon Troutman of Pitt and Devin Green from Hampton replaces Alan Anderson of Michigan State for Tidewater Sealants.
