He averaged 24.4 points per game and had games of 34, 33 and 31 points in Vegas. Watts led his high school team to a 23-5 mark and back to back District 13 Championships. He lead his team to the Class 4 sectional, where they lost to Paseo 56-47, despite scoring 29 points. He made his college choice after making a campus visit last week. Dane Watts has committed to Creighton. He is the second player to verbally commit to the Bluejays. 6-11 center Steve Smith of Sioux Falls (SD) Bishop O'Gorman committed to the Missouri Valley power last week. The Blauejays finished 29-5 last season. Watts was offered scholarships by Central Missouri State, Southeast Missouri State, Southwest Missouri State, Illinois State, Creighton, Northern Iowa, Southern Illinois, Evansville, Indiana State, Loyola Marymount, California-Santa Barbara and Northwestern. Fresno State, Nebraska, Bradley, Rice and Lehigh had also expressed interest in the talented forward.
