Iowa Barnstormers 17's Win Spring Fling

The Iowa Barnstormers won their second event of the spring with a 63-49 victory over the Milwaukee Spartans. Jarrod Uthoff, a 6-foot-8 forward from Cedar Rapids Jefferson had a game-high 16 points. Seth Tuttle, a 6-foot-8 foward chipped in with 15 points and 6-foot-5 guard Josh Oglesby had nine points and six assists in the win .

Jarrod Uthoff, who was named the Spring Fling MVP and teamamte Josh Oglesby each visited with new Iowa head coach Fran McCaffery Saturday. Uthoff picked up a scholarship offer from Indiana shortly after the tournament.

The Milwaukee Spartans were led by Steve Durham and Dominique Williams with 13 points each. Recent Baylor commit Quevyn Winters added seven points.

The Iowa Barnstormers finished 5-0 this weekend, defeating Iowa Mavs Black, Old Skool (MN), Friends of Hoops (WI) and Iowa Mavs Blue to advance to the title game.

The Iowa Barnstormers will play in the Pump N Run Spring Classic next weekend.
