Portsmouth Partnership Wins 104-85 in P.I.T.

Portsmouth Partnership shot 57% from the field and 50% from beyond the arc as they rolled to a 104-85 win over Cherry, Bekaert & Holland in the Portsmouth Invitational. Portsmouth Partnership advanced to the semifinal game Friday at 9:00.

Seven of the eight Portsmouth Partnership scored in double figures, led by Tulsa's Ben Uzoh with 16 points on six of nine shooting from the field. Tyren Johnson of Louisiana-Lafayette had 15 points as he made five of seven from the field and all three three-point attempts. Mikhail Torrance of Alabama and Cornell's Jeff Foote scored 14 points each. Torrance added ten assists and Foote grabbed nine boards. Dwight Lewis of USC and Anthony Johnson from Fairfield had 13 points each and Roman Martinez from New Mexico added eleven. Lawrence Westbrook of Minnesota just missed reaching double figures as he finished with eight points. He made four of seven from the field.

Dior Lowhorn of San Francisco and Jordan Eglseder from Northern Iowa finished with 16 points each to pace Cherry, Bekaert & Holland. Devan Downey of South Carolina had 13 points and Stephen Dennis of Kutztown added ten points in the loss.

Cherry, Bekaert & Holland shot just 40% from the field and was only two of 17 from three-point range.
