The second half of the College Basketball News' top twenty remained the same as all ten teams were perfect last week. Playoffs have begun in several states with the remaining states to follow suit this week, which means more shuffling could happen by next week's poll.

11. Los Angeles (CA) Fairfax (24-2)

The Lions defeated Sylmar 100-66 as Alex Bausley had 24 points and 14 rebounds. Joshua Shipp had 20 points, Jason Gilzene had 16 points and Jamal Boykin added 13 points

 

The Lions are a #2 seed, behind Westchester. The two teams split their two regular season match-ups, so a coin flip was used to determine the top seed. Fairfax Coach Harvey Kitani called heads, and the coin came up tails, it gave Westchester top billing in the Championship Division.

 

They face Cleveland (19-6) Wednesday in the quarterfinals.

 

12. Springfield (MO) Kickapoo (24-1)

The Chiefs outscored Rolla 36-9 in the first quarter as they rolled to a 103-44 win. Creighton signee Anthony Tolliver led four double figure scorers with 22 points. Southwest Missouri State signee Deven Mitchell had 17 points and senior Brandon Argo added 16 points. Missouri recruit Spencer Laurie scored 15. Eleven players scored in the victory. 

 

They ended the regular season with a 78-50 win to win the Ozark Conference title.

 

They start district 12 play next Wednesday at home at 6:00 versus the winner of #4 Springfield Central and #5 Parkview.

13. Bakersfield (CA) Garces Memorial (30-1)

The Rams defeated Shafter 98-65 as 7-0 junior center Robert Swift led five Rams in double figures in their South Sequoia League victory with 23 points. Nevada signee Kyle Shiloh added 22 points and 6-7 Zach Ryan had 16 points. Anthony Esparza finished with 15 points and Christian Martin had ten.

 

Swift is averaging 19.6 points per game and Ryan is contributing 17 points per contest. 

 

Their lone loss was to Carson 47-38, who outscored the Rams 20-7 in the final quarter. That loss snapped a 20-game winning streak.

 

14. Aurora (IL) West Aurora (21-2)

The Blackhawks defeated Wheaton Warrenville South 54-29 as standout junior Justin Cerasoli scored 12 points in DuPage Valley action, all on three-pointers. Marquette signee Dameon Mason and 6-5 senior Mike Sonderlind each scored ten points. Onderlind grabbed nine rebounds, including six on the offensive glass. Shaun Pruitt made his first home court appearance for the Blackhawks after missing the first 2 1/2 months of the season due to a broken leg. The 6-9 center made three of his four free throws and had five points.

 

Pruitt showed that he has made remarkable progress by scoring 24 points as the Blackhawks defeated Glenbard North (9-14, 3-10) 81-60. Mason had 15 points, seven rebounds and five steals and Michael Binns added 10 points. Eleven Blackhawks scored in the win.

 

Mason is averaging 22 points per game. Cerasoli is averaging 14 points and junior Jaeh Thomas is adding ten points per contest.

 

15. Baton Rouge (LA) Woodlawn (34-0)

Woodlawn High capped an unbeaten regular season with a 94-60 victory over St. Amant in Panthers gym, which like the rest of the school will be replaced by a new facility next school year. The defending Class 5A champion Panthers are 70-3 at home since 1996. The senior class is 129-17 in their career and have won its 49th straight game.

 

Ladell Eackles scored 17 of his 21 points in the third quarter. Roshon Jacobs, a University of Louisiana at Monroe football signee also scored 21 points. Center Kentrell Gransberry had 15 of his 17 points in the first half as he only played about three minutes in the second half, due to foul problems.

 

16. Fort Worth (TX) Dunbar (32-1)

Lance Jackson scored 22 points and Jeremis Smith added 20 points and eight rebounds to lead Fort Wor
