Projected NCAA Tournament Bids by Conference
Wisconsin is one of 5 likely Big Ten teams
Wisconsin is one of 5 likely Big Ten teams

The NCAA Tournament committee will have another tough job to pick the field of 65 teams. The ACC, Atlantic 10, Big East, Big 10, Big Twelve, Conference USA, Pac 10 and SEC could get as many as 38 bids. Despite the glut of major programs, several mid major schools, such as Kent State, Creighton, Manhattan and Butler, have shown that they deserve a spot, even if they should fail to win their conference tournament. If they slip up, that could mean two NCAA Tournament bids for their leagues.
