An Early Look at the NCAA Tournament Seedings
Pitino's Cardinals are a likely #1 seed
Pitino's Cardinals are a likely #1 seed

Posted Feb 11, 2003

The NCAA Tournament is just five weeks away, but it is never to early to project the field of 65 teams. Conference play and the postseason tournament will likely have an effect on who gets in and who doesn't. The NCAA has reportedly placed a bigger emphasis on tournament teams having winning record. This means that Alabama, Indiana and Texas Tech may be disappointed on Selection Sunday. The following is my look at the projected NCAA tournament field which will be announced March 16th.
