David West made 15 of 26 shots as he had a game-high 47 points leading the Musketeers to a comeback 85-77 win over Dayton. He was 16 of 19 from the free throw line and made his only attempt from three-point range. West added 13 rebounds and five assists. West scored 13 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in their 80-68 win over George Washington.
West is averaging 20.1 points, 12.4 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game for the season. He is shooting 49.3% from the field, 82.5% from the line and 26.3% from three-point range. West has had a double-double the last nine straight games.
West edged Carmelo Anthony of Syracuse, Kansas guard Kirk Hinrich, Ron Slay from Tennessee and Travis Watson of Virginia for Player of the Week honors.
