LeBron James showed that he was well-rested after having to sit out the Irish's 63-62 win over Canton (OH) McKinley. He scored 21 of Akron (OH) St. Vincent- St. Mary's first 25 points as he lead the Irish to a 78-52 win over Los Angeles Westchester. He finished with a career-high 52 as he made six three-pointers and several crowd-pleasing dunks and drives to the hoops.

LeBron James had 31 of the team's 41 points at halftime as the Irish led the Comets 41-24. He had 18 of Irish's 20 points in the first quarter and had 47 points after three periods. He left game with 2:25 to go as the Irish led 7-845. The Comets made a three-point at the buzzer to give them 52 points, the same number as James.

Corey Jones had three three-pointers to finish with nine points. Romeo Travis added six for the Irish.

Bobby Brown led the Comets with ten points. UCLA recruit Trevor Ariza scored eight and Kent State signee Scott Cutley had six points.
