Several Likely Top Picks Missing From Orlando

The Orlando pre-draft camp invited just 15 player to participate in the physical only this week. This meant that several likely first rounders will not be attending after turning down an invitation to play in the camp.

The bypassed players include Mario Chalmers of Kansas, Jason Thompson from Rider, D.J. White of Indiana, Chris Douglas-Roberts from Memphis, Chase Budinger of Arizona, Robin Lopez from Stanford, J. J. Hickson of North Carolina State, Kosta Koufos from Ohio State, Roy Hibbert of Georgetown, Marreese Speights from Florida, Brandon Rush of Kansas and Bill Walker from Kansas State.

Assuming that the 15 players who were invited to take part in just the physicals are taken in the first round along five to eight foreign players and three Orlando participants who figure to go in the top 30 picks, this means several players who skipped the Orlando camp will go in the second round, meaning they will not get a multi-year guaranteed deal.
