Norfolk Sports Club wins 89-88 Thriller

Chris Lofton's three-pointer with 5.1 seconds left was the difference as Norfolk Sports Club defeated Cherry, Bekaert & Holland 89-88. Norfolk Sports Club trailed by 14 points in the first half, but rallied to cut the margin to one point at halftime.

Chris Lofton of Tennessee paced the Norfolk Sports Club with 23 points as he made four three-pointers. Fellow SEC senior Dwayne Curtis from Mississippi made nine of 13 shots as he finished with 18 points. Jonte Flowers of Winona State added 15 points and Quan Prowell from Auburn had twelve points and ten boards.

Charron Fisher of Niagara had a game-high 28 points in the loss as he made nine of 19 from the field. Jujuan Smith from Tennessee had 16 points, eight rebounds and seven assists. David Gomez of Tulane and Brian Butch from Wisconsin had 14 points each and Parfait Bitee from Rhode Island added ten.
