Junior A.J. Abrams has been chosen as the latest Phillips 66 Big 12 Men’s Basketball Player of the Week. Abrams wins player honors for the second time in his career

A.J. Abrams averaged 26.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2. 5 assists to lead the Longhorns to two victories and the championship of the StubHub! Legends Classic. The junior guard had a career-high 31 points to start the weekend in a 102-87 win over New Mexico State. He followed the effort with 21 points and a career-high tying six rebounds in a 97-78 tally over No. 7 Tennessee. For the week, he connected on 19-of-30 (.633) field goals, including 12-of-20 (.600) from 3-point range. Abrams has made a 3-pointer in 43 consecutive games and was also named to the Legends Classic All-Tournament Team.
