Campbell Hall bests Hopkins 71-61

The Minnesota Timberwolves Shootout proved to be no "holiday" for the two-time Class AAAA state champion Minnetonka (MN) Hopkins as they fell to North Hollywood (CA) Campbell Hall 71-61. Campbell Hall was led by the Holiday brothers who combined for 48 points, 26 rebounds, eleven assists and four blocked shots.

Justin Holiday, a 6-foot-6 senior who is headed to Washington, had 28 points as he made nine of 13 shots from the field and nine of eleven from the line. He added 14 rebounds, four assists and three blocked shots. Jrue Holiday, a 6-foot-4 junior shooting guard, added 20 points, twelve rebounds and seven asssits. The Vikings inproved to 11-1.

Hopkins fell to 8-1, snapping a 29-game winning streak. Six-foot-3 senior guard Blake Hoffarber scored 24 points as he made ten of 19 shots, including four of eleven three-pointers. Raymond Cowles, a 6-foot-4 sophomore forward, had twelve points as he sank all three point attempts.
