Cheyenne Moore, a starter in 17 of Clemson's 32 games as a freshman this past season, will transfer to another Division I school, Clemson head coach Oliver Purnell announced on Monday. The 6-5 forward is considering several schools as options for his transfer.

Cheyenne Moore started 17 games and averaged 19.5 minutes per game on the Tiger team that finished with a 16-16 record and a berth in the NIT, Clemson's first postseason bid in six years. He averaged 6.6 points and 2.5 rebounds per game and contributed 51 assists, fourth on the team. The native of Baltimore, MD made 39 three-point goals; third best on the team, including a three-point goal at South Carolina with 3.4 seconds remaining that gave the Tigers a 63-62 overtime victory.

"I believe that my best opportunity to reach my goals on and off the court is to transfer to another school at this time. It's that simple," said Moore. "I wish the people and the program at Clemson well."

"This was not a last minute decision," said Purnell. "We had been talking about his future with the program this summer. Cheyenne is a talented young man. I wish him all the best as he looks to reach his aspirations in the classroom and on the court."
