Team Three Bests Team Two 102-97 in Chicago

Team Three defeated Team Two 102-97 in a battle of two previously winless team at the Chicago pre-draft camp Friday morning held at the Moody Bible Institute.

Team Three (1-2) was led by the Pac-10 duo of Tre Simmons of Washington and UCLA forward Dijon Thompson, who combined for 42 points. Simmons made nine of 17 shots from the field and three of six from beyond the arc as he tied a camp-high 24 points. Thompson, who is playing in his second consecutive Chicago camp, was eight of 15 from the field. Sharrod Ford of Clemson added 17 points and Carlos Powell from South Carolina added eleven. Jared Homan of Iowa State had ten points in the win.

Kevin Pittsnogle had his best shooting day of the camp as he made seven of 13 shots as he finished with 16 points. Larry O’Bannon of Louisville and Sean Banks of Memphis each added 13 points. Juan Mendez of Niagara scored 12 and Eddy Fobbs from Sam Houston State and Mustafa Al-Sayad of Fresno State each added eleven. Drago Pasalic continued his strong play with ten points.
