Team Six opened up a 20 point halftime lead as they rolled to a 88-71 win over Team Five in the opening game of the Chicago pre-draft camp at Moody Bible Insititute. They featured a balanced attack with six players reaching double figures and led by as many as 24 points.

Bracey Wright of Indiana and Steven Smith of LaSalle each scored 13 points for Team Six. Will Bynum, a late addition from Georgia Tech and John Lucas of Oklahoma State added twelve points each. Ronny Turiaf of Gonzaga had eleven points and six rebounds and Pops Mensah-Bonsu added ten points. Luke Schenscher of Georgia Tech grabbed ten boards in the win.

Luther head of Illinois led all scorers with 14 points. Travis Deiner of Marquette was the only other double figure scorer for Team Five as he made all five shots to finish with 11 points.
