Shawne Williams To Enter NBA Draft

Shawne Williams, a 6-foot-9 forward from Laurinburg (NC) Laurinburg Institute, has become the latest high school players to announce his intention to enter the NBA Draft. Williams, who signed with Memphis in the early signing period, will not sign with an agent, leaving open the possibility of playing for the Tigers next season. He is playing in the Jordan Classiic for the White team

Shawne Williams averaged 17 points, eight rebounds and four assists per game this season for a loaded Laurinburg team.

Williams was AAU National Tournament MVP as he led his Memphis team to the title with a victory over Martin Brothers. He attended Memphis Hamilton High.
