Anthony Teague, 6-foot-5 shooting guard who signed with
New Mexico, made twelve of 21 shots, including eight of 13 from three-point
range as he scored 35 points to lead Dodge City to a 78-66 win over Labette
(Kan.) Community College in the opening game of the Jayhawk Shootout. Teague
entered the game with a 17.0 points per game average.
Jake Sims had twelve points for the Conquistadors and
Colorado State signee Corey Lewis added eight points, nine rebounds, four
assists and three steals.
Brandon Barrett had 18 points to lead Labette. Brandon
Walters added eleven points and
Stephen Carter scored ten.

County (KS) CC used a 57-29 second half to roll to a 93-59 win over Kansas City
(KS) CC. Thirteen players scored for the Grizzlies. Andre Calvin made nine of 14
shots to lead all scorers with 19 points. Kevin Menifee was six of eight from
the field as he added 13 points. Corey Bailey grabbed ten boards.
Kansas City was led Jason Jemison with 15 points as he
made six of 13 shots, including three of eight. Griffin Warren added twelve
points off the bench.

Garden City defeated Independence 61-49 in the third game
of the Jayhawk Shootout. Torre Johnson made twelve of 16 shots from the field as
he scored 25 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in the win. B. J. Walker added
twelve points and seven rebounds off the bench.
Shawn Sabb led Independence with 14 points and twelve
caroms, including seven offensive rebounds. Stanley Billings added ten points.

Cloud County outscored Allen County 44-35 in the second
half in a 84-79 win in the fourth game of the Jayhawk Shootout. Keddric Mays
made seven of 15 three-point shots as he led all scorers with 27 points. He also
grabbed eight rebounds in the win. Geremey Gibson had 16 points and ten rebounds
and Manourou Gakou added 15 points. Mamadou Sy scored
twelve
Calvin Barra made six of 14 shots from the field and
seven of eight from the line as he paced Allen County with 19 points. He had
seven rebounds. Troy Hoefer added 15 points and a team-high eight rebounds off
the bench and Darren Jefferies chipped in with 13 points.

Pratt held Highland to just 20 of 69 (29%) shooting as
they defeated the Scotties 66-51. Marcus Wimberly made six of eight shots from
the field and six of seven from the line to lead all scorers with 18 points.
Drew Kanngiesser and Joe Sisto scored twelve points each for the Beavers and
Jarvis Nichols added eleven points and twelve rebounds.
The
Scotties were paced by Corey Robertson , who scored eleven points and
Dorian Andrews and Rochard McAfee, who had ten points
each. Andrews grabbed ten rebounds.

Host Coffeyville used a 38-28 second half to defeated
Barton County 68-56. Ryan Martin made eight of 13 shots as he finished with 16
points to lead the Red Ravens. Isaiah Allen added 15 points and Hunter Spencer
made four of five shots from three-point range as he scored 14 points. Point
guard Keith "Boo" Richardson had seven points, seven rebounds, four assists and
four steals.
The
Cougars were led by Aubrey Brunerwith 15 points. Marcus Barrett added 14 points
and Antanas Kavaliauskas had twelve.
Neosho County
cruised to an 85-57 win over Colby in the final game of day one of the Jayhawk
Shootout. Ernest Daney made ten of 15 shots from the field to lead all
scorers with 25 points. Akeen Wright added 18 points and Kenyona Swader scored
eleven. Jon-Erik Price had ten points off the bench.
Colby was led by Rashaad Singleton, who scored 16 points. Antonio McMillion made seven of eleven shots as he added 14 points for the Trojans
