Four of the Jayhawk
Conference players have already decided on a Division I school. Two players from
Dodge City (KS) CC signed in the early signing period. 6-foot point guard
Corey Lewis signed with Colorado State
and 6-foot-5 shooting guard Anthony Teague inked with New Mexico. 6-foot-8
forward Adam Tanner of Seward County signed
with San Diego. Julius Lamptey, a 7-foot center from Garden City, is
headed to USC.

There are plenty of talent unsigned sophomores and
freshman to watch as well. Garden City has Torre Johnson, who is the
currently scorer leader in the Jayhawk Confernece with 21.6 points per game.
Coffeyville, which has made the NJCAA Tournament the past three seasons, is led
by Ryan Martin, who is averaging 18.3 points per contest. Kyle Spears of
Johnson County is leading the Jayhawk Conference in blocked shots and is third
in rebounding. B. J. Walker of Garden City started his career at
Buffalo.
