D.C. Team Assault defeated New Orleans Jazz 72-65 in the Best of the Summer championship game at Loyola Marymount University.

Dewayne Anderson, a 6-foot-6 senior from Oakdale (CT) St. Thomas Moore led the D.C. Assault with 20 points and 6-7 forward Dante Cunningham from St. John's Prep added 16 points in the title win.

The Jazz were led by 28 points from junior guard D.J. Augustine (New Orleans (LA) Brother Martin and forward Tasmin Mitchell from Denham (LA) Springs School added 21.

D.C. Assualt advanced to the championship game by defeating Seattle Rotary Select team in the semifinals 65-56 as Cunningham scored 16 points. 6-foot-6 senior Marcus Williams led Seattle Rotary Select with 18 points.

Tasmin Mitchell led the Jazz with 19 points in their semifinals win over Playaz Gold, which had knocked off the adidas 64 champion EBO/EA Sports in a 74-73 thriller Friday evening. Brandon Costner led the Playaz Gold with 21 points in semifinal loss.
