Charlie White, a 5-foot-10 point guard from Jackson (MIss.) Provine decided to stay close to home and will play for Jackson State. White, who was Mississippi's Mr. Basketball, averaged 15.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 4.0 steals per game as a senior, leading the Rams to a Class 4A state championship and a No. 1 ranking in The Clarion-Ledger poll for a second consecutive season.

Charlie White, who played for the Jackson Panthers AAU team, had committed to Mississippi State last May, but did not sign in the early signing period. White played in the Nike All-American Camp in Indianapolis last July.
