The
first game will feature Price versus King. Price is led by 6-4 senior Schuyler McKay, 6-2 senior Darren Morrison and 6-8 sophomore. King features 6-5 DeAndre Robinson and 6-4 Matt Thomas.
Rainer Beach no longer has the Stewart twins, but they
return Miami signee 6-10 Chester Giles, a good shotblocker who has shown an
improved offensive game. 6-4 junior Terrence Williams will give Giles support.
Bakersfield is paced by McDonald’s All-American candidate
Robert Swift, who signed with USC, but may explore the NBA Draft. Swift will get
some help from 6-6 junior Titus Shelton and 6-5 freshman Tim Shelton.
Harvard Westlake
is led by Oregon signee Bryce Taylor, who is one of the country’s top outside
threats. He will get some help from seniors 6-7 Evan Harris and 6-5 Zach
Woolridge, 5-4 junior Ed White, 6-8 sophomore Alex Stepheson and 6-4 freshman
Kieran Ramsey. The Wolverines (7-4) finished fourth in the recent Whataburger
Tournament in Haltom City, Texas. They will face Lincoln, who is led by 6-0
point guard Sebastain Telfair, a likely McDonald’s All-American who signed with
Louisville. He gets help from 6-7 junior Antonio Pena
Compton Dominguez is a talented team that features
seniors 6-3 Marcus Malone and 5-10 D.J. Wright, juniors 6-5
Bryan Harvey and 6-3 Davon Lloyd and 6-5 sophomore A.J. Tolbert. They will face
theinsiders.com’s #1 player in the country 6-11 center Dwight Howard., who will
likely enter the NBA Draft. Howard gets support from 6-4 Javaris Crittenton.
The
Final contest will give UCLA fans a chance to check out future Bruin 6-2 Jordan
Farmar, a likely McDonald’s All-American. He’ll get some help from 6-6 freshman
Pierce Brooks. Taft (10-2), which finished third in the recent Lynwood
tournament will face Cleveland (13-2), which has a future Pac-10 player of its
own. 6-5 Nick Young signed with USC. He was named MVP of the recent Hart
Tournament. Young
is
joined by 6-4 junior Jason Hill.
