Tulsa (OK) Booker T. Washington bounced back from two losses to defeat Fort Lauderdale (FL) Dillard for seventh place in the national division of the Academy National Invitational.

Oklahoma football recruit Quentin Chaney rebounded from back-to-back subpar games to lead all scorers with 15 points. 7-0 sophomore center Shawntell Norman had eleven points, eleven rebounds and three blocked shots for the Hornets.

The 2003 Florida Class 6A state champions were led by 6-7 senior Chris Rawls, the team's lone returning starter from a 32-1 team, who had 13 points and six boards. 6-3 junior transfer Maxwell Dubois from Flanagan had twelve points.
