Shaun Livingston shines in Peoria Central's win

Shaun Livingston showed why he is considered among the top high school players in the country as he led Peoria Central to a 70-57 victory over Seagoville (TX) High in front of 20 NBA scouts in attendance.

Shaun Livingston had nine points and seven assists at halftime. He finished with 14 points, ten assists, five rebounds and four bloked shots.

However, Peoria Central was not a one-man team as three other teammates reached double figures.

5-9 senior guard Jacob Motteler finished with eleven points, six assists and six steals, 6-5 senior Dustin Warfield made six of eight shots to finished with 13 points. 6-0 guard Brandon Lee, who signed with Northwerstern, added a team-high 19 points as he made nine of eleven shots.

LaMarcus Aldridge, who committed to Texas but did not sign in the early signing period, scored 31 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and blocked five shots. He scored 25 points in the second half and made twelve of 14 shots from the field. Donald Sloan had 15 points for the Dragons.

The Lions jumped out to a 19-7 first quarter lead and expanded the margin to 40-19 at the halftime break. The Dragons rallied to cut the lead to 51-39 after three periods.

The Lions, the defending Class AA champs, improved to 5-0. Seagoville fell to 8-2.
