6-2 Australian guard Aaron Bruce has signed a national letter of intent with Baylor. Bruce spent last summer playing for the Australian junior national team in the 2003 FIBA Junior World Championships in Thessaloniki, Greece. The 6-foot-2 guard led Australia with 25 points against Team USA, which featured Dee Brown and J.J. Redick, as the Aussies upset the Americans 106-85.

Aaron Bruce has been compared to former Gonzaga guard Dan Dickau. He is a good shooter off the dribble with an excellent cross-over. He has deceptive quickness and attacks the basket.

Bruce is the second foreign player that has signed with the Bears. They previously inked 7-0, 210 pound center Mamadou Diene of Yeumbeul, Senegal. Diene is considered one fo the top young players in Africa.
