Pittsburgh lands Antonio Graves as a late addition

Posted Aug 23, 2003

6-3 combo guard Antonio Graves of Mansfield (OH) High will play at Pittsburgh this season. Graves averaged 19.1 points per game last season and was a first-team All-State division I selection.

Antonio Graves is enrolled in classes and eligible to play next season. The Panthers had a scholarship available for Graves after center Walter Waters of Detroit (MI) Southeastern was released from his letter-of-intent.

Graves did not qualify academically until late, which scared some teams off. Graves had offers from Rutgers and Charlotte, along with a number of Mid-American Conference schools, but decided on Pittsburgh.
