David Gomez commits to Tulane

6-7 forward David Gomez of Baton Rouge (LA) Episcopal has decided to stay instate and has committed to Tulane.

David Gomez has received interest from Tulane, Rice, Vanderbilt, Georgia and North Texas. Gomez scored more than 50 points in two district games and beat out Top 20 prospect, University High's Glen Davis, for Most Valuable Player honors in District 7-2A. He averaged 25.2 points and 9.2 rebounds per game, earning him Class 2A all-state and All-Metro honors. Gomez is an excellent player on the offensive end and has worked hard to improve his defense, rebounding and strength.

Gomez received a qualifying score on the ACT and has a 3.5 GPA.
