Brewster Academy, located in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, finished 19-13 in the tough New England Prep School Athletic Conference (NPSAC). They defeated Maine Central Institute in the quarterfinals of the NPSAC before falling to Winchedon in the semis. However, Brewster appears poised for an outstanding season with several talented newcomers, according to their head coach Jason Smith.

Brewster Academy will play in the War on the Shore, the MCI Tournament, the New Hampton tournament as well as hosting two tourneys of their own.

They will add power forward Michael Binns of West Aurora. Binns played for the Illinois Warriors AAU team.

Cedric Middleton, whose brother Roderick is at Buffalo played ay Marian Catholic in Illinois.

6-5 small forward Joel Smith has already committed to Washington.

Tyler "Deion" James will be back for a second season. The former Wisconsin Playground Running Rebel repeated his junior season and has already posted a 22 on his SAT.

6-8 Adrian Joseph played for Bergen (NJ) Catholic last season. He would have been ineligible to play there since he turns 19 on August 30th.

6-9 forward Coley LeClair spent last year at Chicago (IL) St. Ignatius. His team upset the then- number one ranked Chicago Crane in the Illinois playoffs. He is already getting looks from Ivy and Patriot league teams.

Point guard Nathan Winkler scored a 1350 on his ACT and posts a 3.7 GPA. He has been a semi-regular fixture at the Five-Star camps. He is from Boone, North Carolina.

Maurice Shaw of Tacoma (WA) Franklin played at the 2002 Nike All-American Camp. The 6-9 much-traveled forward was expected to sit out the season at Montana as a
Prop 48, but decided to go the prep school route instead.

2003 Nike Camp Idongesit Ibok will also play at Brewster. He has a 3.7 GPA and scored a 980 on his ACT. He is a native of Laos, Nigeria.

6-6 power forward Fabrice Tafo is originally from Cameroon. He spent last season in the Virgin Island, where his host family were the parents of Notre Dame redshirt freshman forward Omari Peterkin.

6-4 Shae Pinckney is the son of former Villanova and NBA played Ed Pinkcney. He is a post graduate who was at Gulliver (FL) last season.

They will also have Marcus Hammond, a 6-3 shooter from Memphis (TN) East. Hammond had offers this year from William & Mary, Wichita State and Austin Peay. He was a standout at the 2002 Nike Camp and 2002 Slam Dunk to the Beach.

Chris Pitcher is a 6-6 wing from Seattle. Pitcher made the top 20 game at Eastern Invitational this past week. He has over a 1300 on SAT's.

The talent level continues for Brewster Academy as they will also have 6-4 combo guard Harvey Perry of Las Vegas (NV) Cheyenne and 6-10 Marlon Howe from Fallbrook (CA) High for the 2004-05 season. Perry played for the Las Vegas Rebels and Howe was with the EBO/EA Sports in the recent adidas Big Time Tournament.
