Oak Hill appears to be loaded for 2003-04 season

The Mouth of Wilson (VA) Oak Hill Academy Warriors are consistently one of the top programs in the country. Last year, they finished 31-4, a disappointing season for their standards, The Warriors ended the season with their most losses since going 30-5 in 1996-97. They had lost just three games in the previous four seasons. However, head coach Steve Smith has accumulated some of the top talent in the country and they figure to be back among the country's top five teams this season.

The Warriors will have top ten player Josh Smith, formerly of Powder Springs (GA) McEachern. Smith recently committed to Indiana during the adidas ABCD Camp. He will be joined in the frontcourt by 6-8 Dayshawn Wright, who shined at the recent Nike All-American Camp and USA Development Festival. Wright played last season at Syracuse (NY) George Fowler and is begin recruited by many of the top Big East school. Fellow Nike camper 6-3 K.C. Rivers, who played at Charlotte (NC) Independence will also play for the Warriors. He will be joined in the backcourt by Rajon Rondo, who played at the recent adidas ABCD camp. Rondo, who played last season at Louisville (KY) Eastern is being recruited hard by Indiana, Louisville and Georgia.

Rudy Gay, who some considered the top player at the recent Nike All-American camp, is another possibilities for Smith. Gay played at Archbishop Spaulding last season and Maryland is considered his favorite.

The Warriors will also have sophomore Anthony Wright of Washington, DC and 6-11 center Khadim Fall of Senegal.
