Chicago improved to 3-0 with a 90-79 win over San Antonio (0-1) in the first game of day four at the Rocky Mountain Revue. The Bulls never trailed in the second half and led by as many as 13 points.
Second round player
Lonny Baxter
led all scorers for the third straight game with 25 points. He made ten of 14 from the field.
Trenton Hassell
had 17 points as he was seven of eleven from the floor. Former
Kansas
guard Kenny Gregory was seven of nine as he scored 14 points. Second round pick
Mario Austin
added eight points and six rebounds in the win. Top pick
Kirk Hinrich
was just one of 12 from the field as he finished with only five points. However, he did have eight assists.
San Antonio was led by veteran point guard
Doug Overton
with 20 points. Maurice Carter had 15 points,
Terence Morris
scored 12 and Amemdola Okalaja chipped in with ten points.
