Chicago defeated Dallas 75-61 in Rocky Mountain Revue action. The Bulls held the Mavericks to just 36.9% shoting from the field.

Second round player Lonny Baxter led all scorers with 16 points. He made six of nine from the field and four of five from the line. Second round pick Mario Austin finished with 13 points and eight rebounds and top pick Kirk Hinrich added twelve points and three assists. Veteran center Dalibor Bagaric had four points and Trenton Hassell scored two.

Undrafted rookie Marquis Daniels of Auburn continued his strong summer play as he scored 15 points. Josh Powell from North Carolina State, who also went unselected, had twelve points and eight rebounds. Top pick Josh Howard of Wake Forest made just one of nine shots from the field as he finished with seven points.

Dallas finished 3-3 in the L.A. Summer League as Daniels averaged 23 points per game. Howard contributed 21.7 points and 8.0 rebounds.
