J'Covan Brown didn't do enough at the draft combine to hear his name among those called during Thursday night's NBA Draft.

Brown was labeled as a poor athlete after running through the drills. But his strength has always been after the ball has been tipped into play, and now he'll have a chance to try and find his way into the league.

Brown was invited to play in the Miami Heat's summer camp Friday, and though he doesn't have a contract with the Heat, he'll at least get the opportunity to prove his value for Heat coaches. If he does well, Brown could be invited to the team's preseason training camp, and potentially then, given a roster spot. But he'll face a hike to get there.

Brown left early Texas after leading the Big 12 in scoring, and he did impress many NBA scouts with his offensive game at the combine, just not enough to make a team. If he makes the Heat, he'll play alongside fellow Longhorn Dexter Pittman.
