6-9 forward Kris Humphries of Minnetonka (MN) Hopkins has gotten calls from nearly every top program in the country since he was released from his letter of intent with Duke Monday.
Kris Humphries
, who picked
Duke
over
Kansas
, has three official visits remaining. He only took visits to those two programs before signing with Duke in the early signing period.

Penn State
have called since Monday to express their interest in the McDonald’s All-American.
The typical penalty for reneging on a national letter of intent is two years of eligibility. however, since Duke did release Humphries, he loses only one year if he attends a different school. Humphries can regain the year by appealing to the national letter-of-intent steering committee. William Humphries, Kris' father, feels that his son will be able to play next season
Humphries has continued to work out with former NBA players Chris Carr and Trent Tucker. Humphries, who was nicknamed “Hercules” by fellow Nike All-American campers, has been practicing Pilates and yoga and is currently up to 240 pounds. He has bench pressed 315 pounds and can bench 265 pounds four times. Humphries was a first team Student Sports All-American and second team All-USA Today choice.
Humphries is College Basketball News' choice for Minnesota Player of the Year and was named the Metro Player of the Year by the Minneapolis Star Tribune for the second straight year. He also was one of the Naismith’s final ten high school players and a Parade McDonald’s All-American.
Minneapolis TV stations traveled to Hopkins High to talk to Humphries Tuesday after the release from Duke. However, Humphries already had the credits needed for graduation and is no longer taking classes at Hopkins. In fact, he has been taking some post-secondary classes at a local community college.
A decision on where Humphries will be playing is not expected in the near future. The late signing period is over, so he is not bound be the letter of intent.
