USA Basketball announced that 52 of the top high school and college players have accepted invitations to participate in the 2003 USA Basketball Men's National Team Trials. The Trials will be held May 30-June 1 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. Twenty five players who earned collegiate all-conference honors in 2002-03 and 15 college freshmen were named to their conference all-freshman teams. The Big Ten leads the way with nine players selected to participate.

Eight schools, Illinois, Michigan, Michigan State, Connecticut, Duke, Kentucky, Missouri and Oklahoma, placed multiple players in the Trials. Illinois, Michigan State and Duke are the three programs that have three or more invitees.
