Ndudi Ebi decides to test NBA draft waters

Ndudi Ebi of Houston (TX) Westbury Christian is the latest high school player to put his name into the NBA Draft. He has said that he will test the waters and decide whether to go to college at the University of Arizona. Ebi is College Basketball News’ #3 high school player this year and a key signee for Arizona. He is an athletic big man with a long wingspan. Ebi is my choice for top shotblocker in the Class of 2003 and is an outstanding rebounder.

Ndudi Ebi led Westbury Christian to a state title in 2000 and 2001 and was a first team All-State selection his final three seasons. He shined in the USA Olympic Festival last June, setting festival records in points (139), field goals made (56) and field goals attempted (108) as he was named MVP. He averaged 23.3 points, 11.6 rebounds and 2.7 blocked shots per game.

Ebi is expected to join fellow McDonald's All American Mustafa Shakur, a 6-3 point guard from Wynnewood (PA) Friend’s Central and 6-10 center Kirk Walters of Grand Rapids (MI) South Christian.
