Norfolk Sports Club edged Sales System 72-71

Norfolk Sports Club edged Sales System 72-71 in consolation play of the Portsmouth Invitational. They led 42-23 before Sales System scored the final seven points of the first half. Sales System took a 71-70 lead with a Brad Wanamaker jumper with 21 seconds left. However, Alex Tyus rebounded a Talor Battle miss and scored the game-winner. Wanamaker missed off-balance jumper at buzzer.

Alex Tyus, a late addition from Florida, led Norfolk Sports Club with 15 points and rebounds. Delroy James of Rhode Island scored 14 points and Penn State’s Talor Battle added 12 points.

Matt Bryan-Amaning from Washington paced Sales System for the second straight game with 16 points. Late addition Cam Long from George Mason had 15 points and Pittsburgh’s Brad Wanamaker added 14.
